SUZY COCKE
JUMPING SEAT CLASS OF 2027
About Suzy...

I'm a 15-year-old from Corpus Christi, Texas currently training with Heather Ridge Farms. Riding has been a defining part of my life, and I’m excited to continue this journey at the collegiate level. The team atmosphere and competitive environment of college riding inspire me, and I look forward to balancing my passion for horses with my academic pursuits.
Currently, I ride two incredible horses. Tempted is an 11-year-old mare who I compete in the children's hunters with. I’m also leasing Sly, a 6-year-old gelding with a bright future. Sly has competed in the 3'3" Greens, and I plan to show him in the junior hunters as we continue developing as a team. In addition to my current horses, I’m actively seeking an equitation lease horse to broaden my experience in the show ring.
This past year I've been competing in the 3'3" junior hunters and some 3'3" equitation and received numerous top placings at venues like Germantown Charity, Autumn in the Rockies, Gulf Coast and Great Southwest Equestrian Center.
Beyond the barn, I’m a dedicated student at Incarnate Word Academy, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA. I’m proud to be the president of the TOKC Club, co-president of the Medical Society Club, and a member of the National Honor Society. I’m exploring majors in business or nursing, with aspirations of pursuing a career in the medical field or marketing after college.
As I look ahead, I’m eager to continue my equestrian career in college. Riding has taught me discipline, teamwork, and the value of perseverance—qualities I’m excited to bring to a collegiate program. It’s an opportunity to grow as both a student and an athlete, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
